
Oopiri Artist Kalpana Dies in Hyderabad at 50
Noticed Malayalam movie celebrity Kalpana Ranjani, known as Kalpana, died in Hyderabad on Monday (January 25) morning due to the heart attack.
She was brought dead at Apollo Hospitals, where she was found unconscious today in the hotel. She was in Hyderabad for shooting a Telugu movie.
Sister of movie celebrities Kalaranjini and Urvashi, Kalpana was known as a comedian-performer in the film industry.
She became close to Telugu Audience with the film Oopiri starred Nagarjuna, Karthi, and few others. Her role in Oopiri so natural and good where she grabbed the attention of the audiences.
She’d made her debut as a child artiste in 1983 in the film industry. Since that time, she grew along with the South Indian film industry to be a leading performer.
Among her other Malayalam successes are “ “Karnavar” Ennum Eppuzhum,” “Dolfins,” “Bangalore Days” and “Spirit.”
Kalpana’s body is likely to be brought to Kerala.
